According to the preliminary results of the police investigation, the driver of a Toyota car was driving on Route 74 towards Piotków Tribnarski when he collided with the rear of the truck and a semi-trailer in front. The impact appears to have caused the car to burst into flames.
“Unfortunately, the Toyota driver died on the spot,” said Mawgorzata Penzik, a junior officer at the Kielce city police headquarters.

The female police officer added that the deceased victim was a 58-year-old parish priest from Muniuf. Information on this matter was also confirmed by the Diocese of Kielce, who said: Tadeusz Bielecki was 59 years old and had been a priest for 34 years.
“The funeral date has not yet been decided,” the statement said.
The accident occurred on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. The road was closed for several hours and detours were put in place. Around 11pm, a GDDKiA official working in Kielce announced locally that the service had ended. The road has been reopened to traffic in both directions.
