The passenger train stopped in front of the Aleksandrov Kuyavsky train station (Kuyavsko-Pomorsk voivodeship). The driver managed to brake the train in time. It turned out that the drunk man was stuck on the rail and one of the drivers noticed it. Nothing happened to anyone. We received the information through Kontakt24.
According to the woman who gave us this information, on Wednesday around 14:15, the driver of the car noticed a man on the railway track where the train was approaching. The driver waved his hands to attract the driver's attention and he was able to stop the train. The police and an ambulance were called to the scene.

We asked the police about the incident. – Today, around 14:15, we received a call to Vojska Polskiego Street, where the train had actually stopped because of a man sleeping on the tracks. After arriving at the scene, the officers found that he was a 37-year-old man who was in a drunken state, explained Senior Intern Marta Bialkowska-Blachowicz, press officer of the Aleksandrow Kujawski District Police Department.
The man will be punished
– The train stopped for about 10 minutes and then continued on its way. No one was injured in this incident. The 37-year-old man was handed over to his family. He added that in connection with this incident, a request will be sent to the court for his punishment. In this matter, we also contacted Maciej Dudkiewicz, the spokesperson of PKP Intercity, who said that they did not notice the situation as a traffic disturbance. – It is possible that due to the short stop, it was not necessary to inform about the situation, because there was no delay in the schedule and there were no difficulties in the movement of our trains, – he explained.
