Marjorie Fiterman and Bernie Littman become the world's oldest newlyweds
Marjorie Fitterman and Bernie Littman met at a Philadelphia nursing home after the death of their longtime spouse. However, the road to marriage was not short. The couple dated for nine years before finally deciding to formalize their relationship. The two became the world's oldest newlyweds, confirmed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Together they are 202 years old.
The story of Marjorie Fitterman, now 102 years old, and Bernie Littman, 100, is quite extraordinary: They met decades ago when they were both students at the University of Pennsylvania. However, she continued her studies, and he got a job as an engineer. Then they each found their other half and spent over 60 years with her.

The couple's wedding was held in May after nine years of dating, but it is only now that the details of the wedding have been included in the Guinness Book of Records. The turning point for their reunion was a costume party at the care center where they spent their retirement years. Barney didn't wait long and invited Marjorie to dance with him. Since then, they have become virtually inseparable.
The couple broke a Guinness World Record. “They keep each other young”
According to Guinness, their first date took place on the same day one of Littman's great-granddaughters was born. They bonded by sharing meals and attending plays performed at the facility. The COVID-19 pandemic has further strengthened their bond, and both have lost many friends because of it.
