The march of nationalists passes through the Dmovsky roundabout
Source: TVN24 The Association of the March of Independence appealed to the Voivode of Masovia, Mariusz Frankovski, with another request for approval to periodically organize public meetings on November 11 in the years 2025-2027.
– We once again submitted a request to the Voivodeship of Masovian to approve the Independence March with the status of a periodic meeting, – said Bartos Malevsky, the president of the Independence March Association at a press conference on Thursday.
He mentioned that since 2010, the march has been going through the streets of the capital, and since 2014, it has been going along this route from Dmovsky roundabout to the National Stadium.
– We will meet all statutory requirements in order to find the status of an effective periodic meeting, – he stressed. He explained that the status of a periodic meeting allows both organizers and services to prepare for such an event in advance.
In recent years, the association has organized the “Independence March” in the form of periodic meetings. At the moment, he does not agree with this form of meeting, because the Masovian Voivodeship made two decisions, denying this association the status of the periodic meeting, which was organized on November 11.
The voivode did not agree, the court confirmed
On February 8, 2024, the Court of Appeal in Warsaw made a decision, in which the decision of the district court, issued at the first instance, was canceled. We remind you that at that time the court annulled the decision of the Masovian Voivodeship not to recognize the application for the organization of periodic marches of nationalists.
This time, the Court of Appeal found that the decision of the voevoda was justified and that the march of the nationalist community would not be a recurring event. The decision, as the voivode informed, is final, and Mariusz Frankowski's decision is final.
This decision was related to the request of the Assembly “March of Independence” to the voivode for permission to organize periodic meetings in the capital. The association wanted to hold exhibitions on a periodic basis in three consecutive years – 2024, 2025 and 2026.
