On Monday, part of the road and sidewalk collapsed on Novogrodzka Street. This is the result of the failure of the water supply. It will be removed. Some buildings do not have tap water.
We received the first information and photo from the scene of the incident in “Kontakt 24”. “Due to the failure of the water supply network, a part of the road and the entrance to the residential area of ul. Novogrodzka 82 has collapsed,” the reporter said.
Several buildings without water
We contacted Jolanta Malyszewska, spokeswoman for the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company in Warsaw.
– I confirm that at around 8:30 am we received information about the failure of the water line on Novogrodzka street. As a result of its cracking, a part of the street collapsed. The MPWiK technical team is already on site. We are working to eliminate the failure, Malyshevska said.
As the representative of the city's water supply company added, due to the rupture of the pipe, it was necessary to cut off water supply to the surrounding buildings from the intersection of Raszynska Street to 76 Novogrodzka.
– A water pump will be placed in front of the residents. Malishevska said in the end that the work of eliminating defects will be completed in the afternoon.
