On Monday night on TVN24, an exchange of words took place between host Monika Olejnik and Nowa Levika's Magdalena Biejat. On Sunday, the vice president of the Senate was announced as a candidate for next year's presidential election.
The journalist referred to an incident about 10 years ago when Mr. Bieyat cast an invalid vote in the second round of the presidential election. At the time, Bronisław Komorowski and Andrzej Duda competed for the championship.
–Isn't this a compromise for a politician? – wondered Oleinik. The left-wing representative replied that she had “never seriously considered running for office” because she had a small child at the time.

The journalist asked, “So you said you weren't interested in politics?'' – No, I was very interested in politics, but (…) I believe that voters should not be blamed for the way they vote, but politicians have that responsibility, that is, to persuade them. There wasn't – Mr. Biyat explained.
However, the owner did not give up. – I can say that I contributed to the selection of Andrzej Duda. Can you hear me, Mrs. Chairman? You contributed to Andrzej Duda's election, she repeated.
Magdalena Biejat pointed out that blaming voters for the choices they made in the past is not the best solution. – I'm not blaming voters, I'm talking to you, the presidential candidate, – Oleinik continued.

In 2015, New Left politicians reiterated that they are not involved in politics. The journalist then referred to a statement made two months ago in which the interlocutor declared that he would not run for president.
– You said you weren't going to run, but you've changed your mind, right? – Monika Oleinik recalled. – Again, I'm sorry, but you now have to say to the people who are listening to us, the people who go to the voters, it's their responsibility, what to do, whether they can do it or not. Are you saying we should vote for politicians regardless of who they are? Can you convince them? It seems to me that this is not fair to the voters, the Deputy Senate President emphasized.
The interviewer said she probably had the “right to ask about the choices” of the candidate. “I respect every voter who makes a decision at the polling station,” Bieja said.
