More than 100 firefighters and nearly 30 fire brigade teams are fighting the blaze in an empty former production hall in Pełkinia in Jarosław district, a message posted on social media read.
“The fire spread to a hall measuring approximately 90 x 12 meters,” the cantonal fire department in Rzeszów said.
According to reports, fire brigade teams from the Jarosław, Przemysl, Przeworsk, Žaničut, Starowa-Wola, Režajsk and Sanok fire stations, as well as the operational group under the command of the deputy cantonal commander of the Podkarpacki cantonal fire service, took part. Adam Wisniewski.

Adjacent to the hall is the same facility firefighters are protecting from the fire, as stated in a statement from the State Fire Marshal's Office. Action is hampered by heavy smoke and strong winds.
He added that no one was in the hall at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
