It is difficult not to refer to the case of Marcin Romanovski, because it is probably the most terrible thing that PiS tells us today, – said the presidential candidate of KO Rafal Trzaskovski. He noted that his PiS candidate, Karol Nawrocki, “said on Friday that he would not say anything about this at all and that he was not interested in this story.” – How can you say that someone is not interested at all? Trzaskovsky asked.
Presidential candidate, president of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Navroki, was asked on Friday what he thinks about the case of PiS deputy, former deputy minister of justice, Marcin Romanovski, who fled to Hungary. – I don't think anything about the work of deputy Marcin Romanovsky, – he answered.
– This is not an issue that arouses my interest. This is the work of the representative and is part of the public debate, he added. As he said, “the candidate for the position of the President of the Republic of Poland is not dealing with such issues.”

Trzaskowski: My opponent says he has nothing to say about all this
On the same day, the mayor of Warsaw and the candidate of the civil coalition, Rafal Trzaskowski, spoke about Romanowski during a meeting in Pabianice.
– It is difficult not to refer to the case of Minister Romanovsky, because it is perhaps the most terrifying story PiS tells us today. PiS presidential candidate, Mr. Nawrocki, what will be said to us or not, he said that he will not tell us anything about this at all, he is not interested in this event, he said.
He noted that “the story is absolutely amazing.” – It is not about someone who embezzled two zlotys. It is not about a person who has made any official mistake. This is about a person who has embezzled millions, hundreds of millions of zlotys. Who stole hundreds of millions of zlotys from the criminal organization – he said, reminding that Romanovsky was a deputy minister in the Ministry of Justice.
– This is a story that may not have a history in Europe. Because I don't know of a case where the deputy minister of justice embezzled hundreds of millions of zlotys, Trzaskovsky added.
He noted that the PiS MP “is said that he is certainly innocent, will face justice, and then flees to another country and seeks asylum there.” – See what happens next. PiS politicians justify this. They say it's great, fantastic. They are happy that (Viktor) Orbán, who today is a supporter of (Vladimir) Putin and his closest friend in Europe, (…) gives asylum to Mr. Romanovsky. And PiS sees no problem with that, they just justify him, he continued.
The mayor of the capital mentioned that the prosecutor's office accuses Romanovsky of committing a number of crimes. – This is an unusual thing. And to all this my opponent says that he has nothing to say about it. I think we should ask, what does it mean if someone from PiS wins the presidential election, if God does not do it? What does this mean? Excuse me? Pardon dozens, hundreds of criminals who are colleagues of PiS – he said.

– How come you don't have an opinion, I am asking Mr. Navroki about such a principled issue?
According to Trzaskovsky, PiS politicians do not want to distance themselves from Romanovsky “because they think he is an absolute hero for them.” – And it's hard not to say it out loud. Because all these facts have been collected and today PiS apparatchiks must flee to Orban or Belarus, or who knows, this is the scene of these times, the scene of the last eight years, he continued.
“However, we did not come here to talk about the past eight years, but to think about the future,” he stressed. In his opinion, “today we need a president who is completely independent.” – Independence means that someone has his own opinion. So, how come you don't have an opinion, I'm asking Mr. Navroki about such a principled issue? How can you say that no one is interested? he asked.
According to Trzaszkowski, “we should elect a president who has his own opinion and not wait for what Jarosław Kaczynski will say.” – Or does not comment on surprising things because he is afraid of what PiS will say about it.
