8 fire brigades went to the scene. The fire covered the entire interior of the building, the first floor and the upper floor. – The 60-year-old man was evacuated from the building and despite cardiopulmonary resuscitation by firefighters, paramedics and a doctor, he died, said Brigadier Jedrzej Pawlak of the State Fire Service Headquarters in Łódź.
