IMWM has issued a meteorological warning. A lot of snow is expected during the day – up to 20 centimeters of snow will fall in some places. Icy roads in the morning are also dangerous. Check where it will be dangerous.
Meteorologists of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management have issued warnings of the first level on a three-degree scale.
IMWM Level 1 Warnings – Ice
Level 1 frost warnings have been issued in the following voivodships:
Lubelskie, in the northern half of the voivodeship, excluding the northern districts of Podkarpackie;
It is predicted that the wet surface of the roads and sidewalks will freeze after the snowfall and cause them to freeze. The minimum temperature will be around -1 degrees and on the ground it can drop from -3 to -1 degrees. The warning is in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
IMWM first level warnings – heavy snow
Yellow warnings for heavy snowfall are in effect in the following provinces:
Lesser Poland, in the following counties: Gorlice, Novi Sach, Nowy Sach, Limanowski, Novi Targ, Tatra, Podkarpackie, in the following counties: Jaslo, Krosno, Krosno and Lower Silesia, in the following counties: Karkonosze, Elenia Gora, , Luban.
Snowfall is expected in these areas, which will increase the snow layer by 10 to 20 centimeters. In Podkarpackie, warnings are valid until 7 Tuesday, in Malopolska – until 16 Tuesday. In Lower Silesia, the warning period expires at 17 hours on Tuesday.

What are IMWM's first class warnings?
Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of hazardous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and threaten health and life. Doing business under the influence of these factors is difficult and dangerous. Problems caused by activities in the hazardous area, including delays due to traffic disruptions, disruptions to outside events or possible cancellations. Caution is advised, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
