Massive attack on Ukraine. Explosions heard in Kyiv
The Russians launched a major attack on Ukraine on Tuesday morning. Rockets and other bombs fall towards Kyiv. Explosions were heard in the capital, and fragments of the dropped missile fell on civilian buildings.
Social media channels monitoring Russian attacks reported that six Russian Tu-22M3 bombers were active in the air.
Enemy drones also flew over Ukraine, and ballistic missiles were fired from Russian territory. The Ukrainian Air Force also recorded a MiG-31K fighter jet capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles taking off from Shabasleika Air Base.
War in Ukraine. Shell fragments fall on Kiev’s infrastructure
An air alert was subsequently issued in Kiev. 7 a.m. local time (6 a.m. in Poland). Just before the earthquake, sirens rang eight times across the country. Reuters, citing local witnesses, reported that several explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital after the alert was issued.

City authorities continue to appeal, “Air raid warnings continue! Air defense systems are activated in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Please evacuate to evacuation centers until air raid warnings are activated.”
According to preliminary information from the Kiev City Military Directorate, fragments of a rocket fell on the roof of a civilian building in the capital’s Darnytsia region. However, there was no fire or major damage as a result. There are currently no reports of casualties.

In addition to the attack on Kiev, the Ukrainian Defense Forces also detected guided missiles in the Poltava and Sumy regions. Large-scale attacks were also recorded in the Kharkiv region.
The local administration reported that the city of Shostka in Sumy Oblast was attacked by a Kh-22 missile fired from a Tu-22M3. Mayor Mikola Noga reported that 12 high-rise residential buildings, two educational institutions and several infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
