Lodz police officers arrested a 27-year-old man who entered the home of a 10-year-old boy, threatened him with a knife and forced him to hand over PLN 25,000 belonging to his parents. The suspect was arrested by court order. He faces up to 20 years in prison for robbery with a dangerous weapon
The incident happened on December 23. The ten-year-old boy left the house and went to the neighboring shop on Okrzey Street. While shopping, an unknown man came to him and asked about his parents. The boy told her that he was alone because his relatives had gone Christmas shopping. As Asst. Kamila Sowinska of the Lodz police station, a stranger expressed concern for the safety of the 10-year-old boy, advised him to go home quickly, and then left.

The police officer said that the boy returned home after shopping and opened the door with the key, but when he tried to close it behind him, he felt resistance. – It was a masked attacker who pushed him and entered the apartment. Threatening him with a knife, he ordered the 10-year-old boy to show the places where his parents’ savings were hidden. The frightened boy gave the aggressor more than 25,000 PLN. Sovinska reports that after taking the loot, the man ran away from the apartment.
Arrest of a 27-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting a 10-year-old KMP in Łódź
This work was carried out by the investigators of the Police Department of Lodz. They determined the details of the attacker and arrested the 27-year-old man at his place of residence. During the search, they found the stolen money. The suspect was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He faces up to 20 years in prison for this crime. At the request of the Lodz-Polesie District Prosecutor’s Office, the court decided to imprison the detainee for three months.
