Before Christmas, the spokesperson of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Judge Anna Adamiak, announced that the General Prosecutor’s Office Adam Bodnar sent a request to the Seimas to waive the immunity of Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski and Krzysztof Szczukki. In the Shucki case, prosecutor Adamiak reported that while he was president of the Government Legislation Center, he hired people he had nominated in the Department of Education and Communications through a competitive process. Additionally, these people did not work for RCL and instead “helped the MP campaign by organizing meetings and holding campaign events.” The PiS deputy spoke about this in the WP “Tłit” program. – I want to clear my name as soon as possible and I hope that the prosecutor or the court will listen to my words honestly and the case will be closed immediately – said Shchuki. The host of the program, Michal Wroblewski, asked whether the politician intends to waive his immunity. – I tend to it, maybe it will happen. Just this week I received a request to waive immunity, so I’m still analyzing it – answered the guest of the program. He explained that he still wanted to clarify the issue, so “it makes no sense to involve the whole Sejm”. Referring to this claim, Shchuki said that “it is completely false”. – It is a thesis that the employees of RCL have not done anything, which is completely wrong, this famous department, which is talked about a lot, has organized numerous training courses, seminars and workshops, – he added.
