At around 3pm, Bild newspaper reported that there was a serious bus accident on the A11 motorway between Uckermark Junction and Schmeln Junction. Preliminary findings indicate two people were killed and many injured. The vehicle was traveling along the lane towards Szczecin.
In an interview with Inter, Asst. Ewelina Griszpan from the Szczecin police headquarters press team said two people were killed and 13 injured in the accident.
German portal focus.de reported that the bus belonged to FlixBus Guide.
According to Bild, the vehicle flipped onto its side while exiting the highway, with so-called black ice the likely cause.
