– I don’t want to give any spoilers here, but I just want to say that he is a great candidate, – said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrzej Sejna in “Rozmova Piaseckiego” on TVN24. He referred to media reports that the current Deputy Minister of State Assets, Marcin Kulasek, will become the new Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced last Thursday that on January 13, together with Deputy Marshal Wlodzimierz Czarzasti, they will announce the new Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Then RMF FM radio reported that the new Minister of Science will be the current Deputy Minister of State Goods Marcin Kulasek. Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szyna was asked to confirm this information on TVN24’s “Rozmova Piaseckiego” on Monday. – He is an excellent candidate, because he has real knowledge and experience in this field, – he said.

Sejna “does not go out of line”, but praises Kulasek
Sheina began to describe the biography of Marcin Kulasek. – He is a doctor of agricultural sciences, an academician, in the past he was the chairman of the permanent commission (science and education) of higher education, – he said.
– I don’t want to spoil anything here, but I just want to say that he is a great candidate. Whatever happens, it will be the Prime Minister’s decision – emphasized Sejna. He added that we should “be patient”. Kulasek gave the following answer to further questions about the appointment of the new minister of science and higher education: – I don’t know anything (…). I’m not going out of line here.
On December 19, 2024, the then Minister of Science Dariusz Wieczorek (Left Wing) resigned from his position. Before his resignation, media publications about him, including: Virtualna Polska, reported that Wieczorek did not include a plot of two hectares of land and a garage worth several thousand zlotys in his property declaration. Donald Tusk said at the time that he was “satisfied” with the decision.
