“Polityka” 2024 passports were distributed. The 32nd edition of the Politika weekly cultural awards honored: Kamila Tarabura, Wojciech Grudzinski, Yul Liskawa, Monika Drozinska, social movement NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization), Gabriela Legun and Kuba Wiecek. The winner of the special award “Creator of Culture” was the outstanding director Marek Koterski.
“Politika” passports 2024 are behind us. TVN24 reporter Marta Kuligovska and deputy editor-in-chief of “Polityka” Bartek Chaczynski were the presenters of the 32nd “Polityka” passport awarding ceremony. The awards were established by the late head of the Department of Culture, Zdzislaw Pietrasik. For 32 years, it has been awarded annually to young creators and artists for outstanding artistic achievements. For 22 years, the “Creator of Culture” award has been awarded to “people or institutions that make a special and extraordinary contribution to the promotion of Polish culture in the country and around the world.”

In the film section, the jury highly praised Kamila Tarabura. In 2024, the debut full-length film “Rzeczy bebosgast” – with Dagmara Dominczyk, Katarzyna Warnke and Malgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik in the main roles – won the Perspektywy competition in Gdynia, won the Sapphire Lions award for director and debut.

This year, the organizers of the award changed the name of the Theater category to Stage and opened it to dance and performance. The award was given to Wojciech Grudzinski, a dancer and choreographer, creator of performances whose common features, in addition to artistic performance, are based on personal experience and a sense of humor.

The winner in the “Book” category was Jules Liskava, whose first novel “The True Story of Jeffrey Waters and His Fathers” delighted literary experts and readers.

Visual artist and activist Monika Drozinska was honored in the visual arts category. The press release lamented that Drozhinska “belongs to an elite group of artists who have been convicted by a final court verdict for their art. She was sentenced (reprimanded and fined) for secretly embroidering bonnets on PKP trains. These were usually pieces of poetry. .” He became famous as an artist who “introduced embroidery into salons”.

In the category of digital culture, NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization) was honored – the largest pro-Ukraine social movement in the world, created by Kamil Dyshevsky.
The “Politics” 2024 passport was awarded to soprano Gabriela Legun in the classical music section. The 26-year-old graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw has been successful on the opera and competition stages in Poland and abroad for several years.
Saxophonist, jazz composer and music producer Kuba Vicek was awarded with the Certificate in the category of popular music.
This year, the special Cultural Creator Award, jointly awarded by “Polytyka” weekly and ZAiKS Authors’ Association, was awarded to outstanding director Marek Koterski.
