In his opinion, the organization’s failure to address the COVID-19 pandemic and other crises has forced the United States to make “unfair and burdensome payments.”
The WHO released a statement Tuesday morning expressing “regret” over President Trump’s restrictions.
“WHO is committed to improving health outcomes by addressing the root causes of disease, building stronger health systems, and detecting, preventing and responding to health emergencies, including disease outbreaks, often in dangerous settings. We play a vital role in protecting the health and safety of people around the world, including Americans. Places others cannot go.”
