Barcelona’s port authorities said one person was killed and another injured in an explosion that occurred on Tuesday morning, Catalunya News reported.
This was reported by the website El Espanol. At 10:10 a.m., a tank containing methyl acetate, a highly flammable substance, exploded at one of the docks.
According to the fire department, one person was killed and another injured. The seriously injured man was taken to Valdehebron Hospital.

After an hour of action, police said the fire was extinguished.
“The explosion occurred during maintenance work at a company in Mor de Renergia,” the 3cat.cat portal reported.
Catalan police force Mossos d’Esquadra called on local residents to obey police orders.
