They left the cat behind on the plane. This animal traveled thousands of kilometers between New Zealand and Australia
The cat, named Mittens, made three round trips between New Zealand and Australia within 24 hours. The animal was left on the plane by mistake and staff did not notice the cage when removing it from the hold.
An 8-year-old Maine Coon cat named Mittens was heading from New Zealand with his family to a new home in Melbourne, Australia. After landing, the owners waited three hours for the cat’s cage to be lowered, but there was no sign of the cat.
Eventually, airport staff informed the family that the plane had returned to New Zealand with Mittens still on board. As it turned out, the employee didn’t notice the cat’s cage in the luggage compartment because it was covered by a wheelchair.
