– The main element of competitiveness is energy. And America will have and has cheap energy, maybe even cheaper – Polish 2050 representative Ryzard Petru said on Thursday in “Piasecki Debate”. In this way, he referred to the speech of Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Wednesday in the European Parliament, in which he spoke, among other things, about the need for competitive energy prices in Europe.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented the priorities of Poland’s presidency in the Council of the European Union on Wednesday in the European Parliament. During his speech, he assessed that some European regulations have led to “unacceptably” high electricity prices in some European countries. – If we have three times more expensive energy, how do you want to compete with the American or Chinese economy? he asked.

“I don’t take it as a setback.”
On Thursday, Rysard Petru, representative of Poland 2050, explained these words in “Rozmova Piasecki”. He said they did not shock him. – The main element of competitiveness is energy. And America will have cheap energy, maybe even cheaper energy, he said. He said that we cannot discount the fact that President Donald Trump is betting on oil.
“In my opinion, Tusk has shown himself to be such a realist,” he said. – I don’t see it as a turning point, only entry into Europe, which speaks of the need to be competitive, – he added.
According to Petru, “our economic growth is almost too low”. – Growth is very high in the United States. Chinese cars are much cheaper than German cars. And the German industry fell behind. We have to answer this. Why did it happen that Europe has no development prospects? Of course, Poland does not look so bad in comparison, but we should have a perspective of 4 percent growth in the coming years, not just in one or two years, said the politician.
