Presidential elections will be held on May 18
Presidential elections differ from others in that electoral committees are formed solely by voters, not by their political parties or coalitions.
The election commission of a presidential candidate can be formed from at least 15 citizens with the right to vote. The following are necessary for the establishment of the commission: the written consent of the candidate to be nominated for candidacy and the establishment of his committee. Candidates born before August 1, 1972 must attach a declaration of verification.
After collecting 1000 signatures in favor of the candidate, the representative of the election committee informs the National Election Commission about the establishment of the committee. Only after the committee is registered by the National Electoral Commission, it can campaign.
The next step in the presidential election campaign will be the nomination of a candidate for the position of president – the deadline for this is April 4 at 4:00 p.m. to register the name of the candidate with the National Election Commission, it is necessary to collect more than 100,000 signatures. she
Presidential elections will be held on May 18. The possible second round of elections will be held on June 1.
