A woman in Japan was arrested for allegedly crushed a bun in a convenience store and leave without buying the bread pack.
Authorities in the southern city of Fukuoka confirmed to the BBC that the 40 -year -old was arrested on Monday for “criminal damage”.
The woman, who said she was unemployed, said that she “only checked the firmness of (the bun) by pressing lightly with my hand,” police said.
The woman would have touched a bag of four buns with cheese with black sesame and cream cheese. While packaging of the bag was intact, the police said that one of the buns had been damaged after having pressed it with his right thumb and that the whole bag could not be sold.
The police said that the owner of the convenience store Lawson said he saw the woman crushing breads several times in the past.
While the woman left the store on Monday, the owner noticed that the bun had been damaged and he urged her to pay the bread, police said. The bag of breads costs around 180 yen (£ 0.95; $ 1.20).
She would have refused. After following it for 1 km (0.6 mi), the director retained it. The police were called to the scene and they arrested it.
In recent years, the police have also repressed the pranks that have committed a “sushi terrorism” in sushi carpet restaurants, such as licking bottles of soy sauce and base sushi intended for guests.
