His colleague shooter Avani Lekhara received the BBC Iswoty Para-Sportswoman BBC award.
The 23 -year -old is the first Indian woman to win three paralympic medals, with gold in Paris after a gold and a bronze in Tokyo 2020.
Indian President Droupadi Murmu said: “I appreciate the whole BBC team for the commendable initiative to organize the Indian sport of the BBC year.
“The extraordinary athletes who have been recognized by this initiative not only excelled in their sports, but also inspired young women to continue their dreams without fear.”
The director general of the BBC, Tim Davie, who welcomed the award ceremony, said: “The historic Olympic performance of Manu Bhaker is a decisive moment for Indian sports. His trip from a promising young shooter to a Olympian Record inspires athletes across the country and beyond.
