New London direct train roads in Germany, Switzerland and France could open as part of the plans to stimulate the passenger numbers of the St Pancras station.
London St. Pancras Highpeed, which has the station and operates the track to the folkestone chain tunnel, has already stated proposals to increase the capacity to travel by international train from 1,800 passengers per hour to almost 5,000.
He now wants to attract different train operators to offer a range of services in Europe.
Eurostar is currently holding a monopoly in trains through the chain tunnel with roads to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.
London St Pancras Highpeed and Getlink have signed an agreement that will help them to extend rail connectivity between the United Kingdom and Europe.
“Many European cities could be contacted directly by train in less than six hours, which, in our view, is really competitive with short air trips,” said a spokesperson for London St. Pancras at high speed.
Yann Leriche, Managing Director of Getlink, who owns Eurotunnel, said: “We are eager to advance attractive opportunities for low carbon mobility with a range of new destinations in Germany, Switzerland and France.”
London St. Pancras High Speed thinks that it is possible that train services in Bordeaux, Cologne, Frankfurt, Geneva, Marseille and Zurich are created.
No defined calendar has yet been revealed.
Eurostar abandoned the services between London and Disneyland Paris in June 2023 and no longer has routes between London and the South of France.
Virgin Group and Evolyn are two companies developing plans for Rivaux services in Eurostar which could bring passengers to the newly proposed destinations.

Robert Sinclair, Managing Director of London St. Pancras Highpeed, said the demand for international train travel increased.
He said his business would work with Getlink “to encourage new and existing train operators to increase the capacity and launch new destinations unlocking the potential of a fully connected Europe”.
