French Minister talks about three countries that want to send their army to Ukraine
“We need support from the US,” Eric Lombard said. The French Finance Minister noted that arms halts are a condition to be observed. He also pointed out three countries ready to send soldiers.
The Minister is taking part in a meeting of the Director of Finance for Cape Town’s G20 Group.
“The UK, Germany, France and other European countries are ready to send troops to ensure a ceasefire,” Eric Lombard assured in an interview with Bloomberg.
-We need support if you want to observe the suspension of weapons – he added, “The Americans agreed to do that.”

Earlier in the week, Lombard accompanied Emmanuel Macron on a trip to Washington. The French and President Donald Trump discussed the issues of Ukraine and the commercial relations between Paris and Washington.

-We discussed all issues, trade, tariffs and non-taker barriers – he said negotiations from the US would continue, adding. The next meeting for the Minister in charge of finance will be held in April at the top of the International Monetary Fund in the US capital.
