Prince Robert of Luxembourg informed of the death of his youngest child. Frederick also has the title of Prince, but at just 22 years old he died of a rare genetic disorder. “On a rare sick day, we last spoke to my son. He said goodbye to all of our family,” we read in a family statement.
Frederick, son of Prince Robert and Princess Julia of Nassau, passed away on the first day of March at the age of 22. The reason for his death was a rare porgumitochondrial disease.
The family provided this sad information through a foundation founded by Frederick three years ago. “I am extremely regretful about the departure of my son Frederik, founder and director of the Polg Foundation,” he read in a statement.
