International transport and logistics provider Cargo Partner has expanded its offering from Europe to Asia to also include transport solutions in the reverse direction.
The route will take advantage of current competitive pricing rates and will include shipments to India and Southeast Asia in addition to “staple” destinations within China.
According to Cargo Partners, recent increases in import demand from Asia and longer transit times for services around the Cape of Good Hope have resulted in a significant shortage of empty containers at Asian ports.
As a result, shipping lines are keen to get this equipment back into normal westbound trade as soon as possible. To ensure that companies exporting from Europe can benefit from this favourable and cost-effective situation, logistics providers have stepped up their ocean freight service offerings on this route.
Cargo Partners operates regular sailings from Nordic ports such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg and London, plus sailings are available on request from Genoa, Piraeus, various ports in Turkey and the Black Sea, as well as the Adriatic ports of Koper and Rijeka, depending on the region and catchment area.
The company's comprehensive road transport network reportedly enables it to offer flexible end-to-end solutions from a single source to customers across Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
These FCL connections currently offer high equipment availability and serve many destinations across South East Asia and India, including Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Kolkata, Chennai, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.

All Cargo Partner's FCL services are provided as door-to-door solutions that include pre- and in-transit transportation by road, customs clearance and comprehensive logistics services through the company's warehouse network across Europe and Asia.
In addition, CargoPartner will utilize “Intelligent Container Tracking” to provide real-time tracking information via the SPOT supply chain management platform, SPOT.
Late last year, Cargo Partners announced the launch of a new cross-border road freight solution between the United States, Canada and Mexico.
