ST. FRANCISVILLE, Louisiana — ZeroEyes, an AI firearm detection software solutions provider, announced that West Feliciana Parish Schools (WFPS) will deploy the technology on its campus.
Based in St. Francisville, Louisiana, WFPS is one of the most highly-regarded education systems in the state, according to a press release. The district serves approximately 2,300 students in preschool through grade 12. WFPS has a robust early childhood education program and a state-of-the-art Career Technology Center that offers national certifications to prepare students for college and careers.
“The safety and health of our students and staff is our top priority,” WFPS Superintendent Hollis Milton said. “We are constantly evaluating how we can provide additional safety assurances, and Zero Eyes is one of the most proactive safety measures we have found.”

ZeroEyes' AI firearm detection and situational awareness software is overlaid on existing digital security cameras. Once a firearm is identified, the image is instantly shared to the ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), an in-house operations center staffed around the clock by trained U.S. military and law enforcement veterans. If these experts determine the threat is real, they send alerts and actionable information, such as a visual description, type of firearm and last known location, to local law enforcement and school security teams within three to five seconds of detection.

WFPS works closely with the local sheriff's office and employs full-time School Resource Officers (SROs) to maintain a comprehensive security program. The district has implemented ZeroEyes across the campuses of Bains Lower Elementary, Bains Elementary, West Feliciana Middle School and West Feliciana High School.
“We applaud WFPS' proactive efforts to keep their community safe,” said Mike Lahiff, CEO and co-founder of ZeroEyes. “The ability to quickly identify and locate gun-related threats is a game changer in securing school campuses. By deploying ZeroEyes, WFPS is demonstrating their commitment to leveraging advanced technology to better protect their students and faculty.”
