Former India cricket batsman Vinod Kambli has left his fans extremely shocked after a video showing his debilitated condition went viral on social media. In the video, the 52-year-old was seen struggling to walk and people were seen helping him safely off the road. Kambli appeared a bit confused and was struggling a lot with balancing. However, the Indian international, who played 117 international matches, has now given a new update on his health. In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Kambli gave a “thumbs up” and said he was absolutely fine.

This is really bad and I need urgent medical help.
I know you've done a lot for him, but I have a favor to ask of you.
Please put your frustrations aside and be his guardian until he recovers. Thank you.pic.twitter.com/a4CbGNNhIB

“By the grace of God, I am alive, healthy and well,” he said, adding that he was fit enough to take the field and take turns at bat.
A childhood friend of legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar, Kambli has played over 100 ODIs and 17 Test matches for India. The talented left-handed batsman has scored nearly 10,000 runs in first-class cricket with a best individual score of 262.
Meanwhile, in international cricket, the Indian team lost the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka by 0 – 2. Though the first match ended in a draw, Charis Asaranka-led team narrowly defeated India in the remaining two matches to clinch the series victory.
This was the first bilateral ODI series won by Sri Lanka against India since 1997. Talking about the third ODI, India, chasing a competitive 249 with some sharp turning from Premadasa, were bowled out for a dismal 138 in 26.1 overs.
This was former India batsman Gautam Gambhir's first outing as new head coach and the team suffered a shock defeat.
“I don't think it (the spin issue) is a worry, but it's something we have to look at as individuals and as a game plan. I'm kidding, but you never let your guard down when you're playing for India. When I'm captain, there's no chance of that happening. But you have to be grateful for good cricket,” India captain Rohit Sharma said after the defeat.
“Sri Lanka played better than us. We decided on the matchup after looking at the conditions but there are some players to look out for so we made some changes,” he added.
