Advanced Technology International has been awarded a five-year, $99 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Navy to manage and operate the Naval Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence under the Naval Manufacturing Technology Program.
The Defense Department announced Wednesday that ATI will help develop and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies to U.S. shipyards and industrial facilities for the production and sustainment of naval platforms.
Following contract award, two task orders will be issued for $4.1 million and $8.9 million, with each task order carrying an initial expenditure obligation of $300,000 from the Navy's fiscal year 2024 research and development budget.
ATI will perform work in Summerville, South Carolina, through August 2029 under the contract.
The contracting agency, the Office of Naval Research, issued a notice of operations and pre-bid for the NSAM COE earlier this year.
