At the 2024 Human Resources (HR) Asia Awards held on August 8, AEON Vietnam was named the “Best Company to Work For” for the sixth consecutive year and also won the HR ASIA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that AEON Vietnam has been named a “Best Company to Work For” and the first time that it has been recognized in the DEI category, in recognition of the company's efforts towards creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.
“Our working environment is built around three pillars: sustainable career development, sustainable corporate culture and sustainable business. We also provide employees with career advancement opportunities to realise our goal of becoming the best place to work in Vietnam's retail industry,” said Tran Thi Tuyet Trinh, Head of Human Resources at AEON Vietnam.
Aeon Vietnam says it has established a code of conduct to ensure all employees behave in a positive and appropriate manner. Every month, all employees receive transparent updates from the board of directors on new policies and strategies.
Internal surveys such as the “Happiness Survey” are conducted regularly to ensure that all Aeon employees are heard and share their opinions. Employees are free to contribute on any topic that can help improve working conditions and create an inclusive and cohesive work environment.
The retailer also organises various sports activities such as football and badminton. Employees are encouraged to maintain their mental health through community activities such as blood donation drives, tree planting days and clean-up days.
The retailer, which employs around 6,000 people, also focuses on fostering a coaching culture that unlocks each individual's potential through activities such as career coaching, one-on-one coaching sessions and team coaching.
With its continuous expansion strategy and diversified business model, AEON Vietnam currently provides more than 9,000 job opportunities for external and internal employees.
The company is focusing on developing recruitment policies, improving the quality of training programs and retaining talented personnel. AEON Vietnam employees have the opportunity to learn in various formats, including e-learning, massive open online courses and domestic and international training courses.
AEON Vietnam focuses on sustainable activities in three aspects: environment, society and economy to contribute to sustainable development. The 2023 CSI Awards demonstrate AEON Vietnam's social responsibility efforts in engaging with the local community.
