Agrifac Introduces New Sprayer Technology to North America
North American farmers now have access to a unique sprayer technology developed in the Netherlands.
Brian Pekarek, Agrifac's sales manager, said the company offers three different types of self-propelled sprayers.
“We offer the 1,200-gallon Condor,” he says, “the Vanguard is a 1,600-gallon machine, and our larger machine is the Endurance machine, which is a 2,100-gallon tank. Boom sizes range from 120 feet to 160 feet.”
Pekarek told Brownfield that the machine's suspension system is a first for the industry.
“It's very similar to a self-leveling combine,” he says. “As you move through offset terrain, the boom stays fairly level. The individual wheels self-adjust, providing more stability as you move through the field.”
Other advancements include the ability to adjust droplet size on the move from the driver's seat, he said…
“Europe has much stricter regulations on pesticide application than the U.S.,” he says. “The technology we bring to the U.S. has been proven in the European market for years, so we have a competitive advantage.”
Agrifac launched its North American operations in Seward, Nebraska, in December, Pekarek said.
Brownfield spoke with Pekarek at the recent MAGIE show hosted by the Illinois Fertilizer Chemists Association in Bloomington, Illinois.
