After the Balloon Fiesta crowds leave, we'll be welcoming business leaders to the Duke City.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Balloon Fiesta won't be the only big event taking place in Albuquerque this October, as the Duke City will host the World Indigenous Business Forum.
The forum will bring Indigenous leaders from across the U.S. and around the world to Albuquerque and will take place Oct. 28-30 at the Clyde Hotel.
City leaders expect about 1,000 people to descend on downtown for the event, and the business community is excited.
“The Hispanic Cultural Center is going to be busy. Other restaurants are going to be busy because of the economic impact. So this is one of the larger conventions we can have in the city,” he said.
Business leaders who want to connect with and support Indigenous businesses are also welcome to get involved with WIBF.
Each year, the organizers choose a different location to host the tournament. Past tournament locations include:
