Aleksandra Vishnevska, a member of the parliament of the civil coalition, married cosmonaut Slavosz Uznansky. The couple announced this through social networks. The solemn ceremony was held on January 2 in Łódź.
“We would like to inform you that we got married last summer in Texas and we got married on January 2, 2025 in an intimate ceremony in our hometown Lodz,” wrote the representative and the cosmonaut in their profiles on the X platform. – accepted Wiśniewscy.
“We want to thank President Hanna Zdanowska for our marriage. We are grateful for every kind word and also for the kindness of many people who have allowed us to keep our feelings in silence,” the joint statement said.

They added that they want to “love together, understand the world with humility, do good and serve the people, Poland and Europe as much as possible.” They announced that they plan to “hold a wedding with a large group of family and friends after Slavosz returns from the mission.”
A Polish astronaut will participate in the Ignis (Latin for fire) mission, the first Polish technological mission to the International Space Station (ISS). It will start in the spring of 2025, not earlier than April. Sławosz Uznanski-Wisniewski will be history’s second man in space and the first person to fly to the International Space Station.
Aleksandra Uznanska-Wiśniewska is a member of parliament on behalf of the Civil Alliance. This is the first term for a seasoned political scientist. He sat, among others, on the Foreign Affairs Committee and the National Defense Committee. Previously, he was also involved in humanitarian work in Greece and Yemen.
