Align Technology, Inc., in collaboration with Costco, has introduced a new promotional program for U.S. Costco members, offering $400 off Invisalign® treatments through purchases on Costco.com.
For $99.99, members can purchase the Invisalign Essentials Bundle+, which includes an Invisalign treatment e-card and a variety of dental care products valued at $105. The offer is designed to increase access to Invisalign clear aligner treatment, which is known for being more comfortable and effective than traditional braces.
John Morici, executive vice president and CFO of Align, expressed excitement about the program, highlighting its role in connecting Costco members with Invisalign-trained dental professionals.
“We are pleased to offer this pilot program and connect Costco members and their families to Invisalign-trained dental and orthodontic clinics. The Invisalign treatment e-card program is a key priority for Align, as we strive to provide patients of all ages with better smiles through Align innovation and doctor-guided Invisalign treatment.”

In other related news, Costco plans to increase annual membership fees in the U.S. and Canada by about 8%, marking the first price increase since 2017. Starting September 1, annual fees for “Gold Star” and Business members will increase from $60 to $65, while Executive members will increase from $120 to $130. The increase affects 52 million members, more than half of whom are Executive members. Membership benefits include discounts on a range of products and services, and Executive members can receive higher rewards caps on purchases.
Costco has historically increased its rates roughly every five and a half years, but delayed the adjustments due to inflationary concerns. Despite the price hikes, Costco's business has remained strong, recently reporting a 6.3% increase in U.S. same-store sales (excluding gasoline). The company relies heavily on membership fees for revenue, and is projecting $4.7 billion from membership fees by 2023. However, critics question whether the price increases will affect Costco's competitiveness against lower-price rivals and non-membership retailers.
