Four American soldiers disappeared Tuesday afternoon during an exercise at a training ground in Lithuania in Podbrosy, not far from the border with Belarus. Lithuanian and foreign forces, as well as air force helicopters and Lithuanian border guards, were sent for search and rescue operations.
Previously, the US military reported that the missing soldier belonged to the 1st brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division. They conducted tactical training and probably traveled the M88 travelers.
The US military announced Wednesday that it had been found that Hercules’ armored vehicles were being submerged in the reservoir. The US Army, Lithuanian military and civilian agencies were guaranteed to carry out rescue operations.

An accident during exercise. New information about American soldiers
On Wednesday, the Lithuanian information portal said without relying on official sources — a missing soldier was dead and a caterpillar vehicle had been submerged in water.
Mark Latte mentioned the issue Wednesday during a meeting with journalists in Warsaw. As he said, he received information about “four American soldiers who died as a result of the incident in Lithuania.”

Lithuania Devil Suzakalian informed on Thursday that the bodies of the four soldiers had not been previously found and that their deaths have not been confirmed, contrary to media reports since Wednesday.
