The President of Poland supports a man who faces eleven charges? After all, this is a strange thing – said Minister Marcin Kirwinski in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. He explained Andrzej Duda's statement regarding PiS MP Marcin Romanovski, who received international protection in Hungary.
Last week, the Hungarian government granted international protection to Marcin Romanovsky, a member of the PiS parliament and former deputy minister of justice, who is a suspect in the investigation of the Justice Fund and for whom a European arrest warrant has been issued.
Referring to the case of Romanovsky, President Andrzej Duda said on RMF FM radio on Monday that “at first he was surprised that such forces and resources were used to search for a member of parliament, as if he were some kind of criminal, a bandit of the highest caliber.” . Referring to the decision of the Hungarian government, he said that according to what he heard, Romanovsky “submitted an extensive application for asylum and justified it extensively.” – If he has shown how the national prosecutor was overthrown (…), I am not surprised that Hungarians doubt whether the deputy Romanovsky will be treated according to the principles of the rule of law or not. Duda said.

Kirwinski: Duda hid two convicts a year ago, today he defends someone who escapes from Poland
“Kropka na i” asked Marcin Kirwinski, the authorized representative of the government for flood relief, about these words.
– I am surprised that President Duda does not use the opportunity to say something, because every time he speaks, he actually makes an even bigger mistake, – explained the minister.
– The president of Poland supports a person who is likely to face eleven charges? This is a wonderful thing, he said.
He noted that the president “hid two convicts (Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik-ed.) a year ago, today he defends someone who escapes from Poland.” – It is strange that the head of state can behave like this. Let this mandate of Mr. President end as soon as possible. I thought that he would no longer embarrass himself, but every day brings a new embarrassment – said Kirvinsky.
Kirvinsky: we will not negotiate with Romanovsky about anything
He also touched upon the conditions set by Romanovsky to return to the country. The PiS representative claims that after their execution, “he will return to the country within six hours”.
– This gentleman does not make bets. Kierwinski said that this gentleman is to be reported to prison because the Polish court has decided to do so. – We will not negotiate anything with a person who is facing a very serious charge, – he said.
He claimed that Romanovsky “sooner or later, regardless of whether he thinks he can enforce the terms now or not, he's going to be in jail sooner or later.”
– We will take all measures to bring Mr. Romanovsky to a place of isolation. But I am also realistic about this issue, that if (Viktor) Orbán does not want to cooperate, this procedure can take a long time, – said the minister.

Kirvinsky about giving advances to flood victims
Kirvinsky also spoke about the issue of assistance to those affected by the September flood. He pointed to the introduction of a prepayment system for flood victims.
-50 thousand is only a down payment. City commissions determined the level of losses. If this level were above 50,000, OPS (Centers of Social Protection – ed.) will pay the missing amount quickly – he said. He added that the rules for spending benefits for reconstruction after the flood are “very clear and easy to read”.
A government spokesman for flood relief said the “advance payment system worked” and that “98 percent of advances or full benefits” have already been paid in Lower Silesia and Opole voivodeships.
Kirvinsky about advance payment to flood victims TVN24
Asked whether those who receive advance payments should account for the money spent, he said they should provide invoices, bills and receipts.
– Remember that we have state money, the money of all Poles. Of course, this money should go to the victims, because this is the duty of the state and the system is like this, but this does not change the fact that (money – ed.) should also be counted. , because it is public, – he said.
This may be the hardest Christmas of their lives. Many flood victims do not spend it in their homes Marta Balukevich/Fakti po Poludniu TVN24
At the end of November, Kirwinski announced that an advance payment of PLN 50,000 would begin to be made to the victims.
– We would like these benefits to reach the victims as soon as possible (…) so that people can use this money as soon as possible. That's why we included a prepayment system in the Flood Act (…). This means that anyone who submits an application will receive PLN 50,000 in advance within three days, the minister said later.
