On Friday, a resident of Samotula arrested a drunk driver who turned out to be a police officer. This man had more than two ppm of alcohol in his blood. The district police commander decided to implement the procedure for the dismissal of the officer in the interest of the service.

The incident happened around noon on Friday. – Using the emergency number, the citizen reported that he caught the driver of the car, who was probably drunk. The man came to a parking lot in front of one of Szamotuły's supermarkets, and the reporting party reacted by thinking that he was drunk and prevented him from driving further, the senior sergeant told tvn24.pl. Sandra Chuda, an officer of Samotuli police headquarters.
As he said, “the officer on duty sent police officers to the scene.” – After checking the level of alertness of the reporting driver, it was found that there is 2.02 ppm of alcohol in his body. He added that this man's child was a passenger in the car.
– Due to the fact that the person who is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol is a police officer, further actions with his participation were conducted in the presence of the police officer of the unit and under the supervision of the prosecutor. The incident happened while he was off duty, Misher said.
The man's driver's license was confiscated and the car he was driving was seized for legal purposes. – Due to the fact that he was an employee of our department, all the evidence collected in this case will be sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Samotuli district for the initiation of the case. The court will decide on the punishment, Chuda said. – There is no consent to such behavior of the officers. Focusing on the important interest of the service, the Szamotuli district police commander immediately decided to start the police dismissal procedure – he added.
The child was given to his mother.
As the portal eszamotuly.pl wrote, “this man is an experienced policeman”. “It was an employee of the prevention department who was in the leadership position recently because of the absence of one of the managers,” they added.
