Dozens of SUV owners in Vienna will not consider the night from Sunday to Monday a success. Activists in the Austrian capital punctured the tires of 50 cars in protest against drivers believed to be contributing to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

The appeal written on the card refers to the results of the Austrian parliamentary elections, in which the far-right Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) received the most votes.
Members of the group have repeatedly denied the anthropogenic nature of climate change and argued that the climate protection program adopted by Austria goes too far and could threaten industry in some parts of the country.
Members of the Luftnot Kollektiv group admitted that it was not the first time this kind of behavior had occurred, but that they had a flat tire. The group operates in Austria as part of the international tire fire extinguisher initiative. Its activists are focused on making life miserable for drivers who use SUVs in urban spaces by persistently puncturing the tires of these vehicles.
