PHELPS COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) – American-owned sustainable aviation fuel company DG Fuels has selected Nebraska as the site for the Midwest’s first aviation fuel production facility. The plant will be built in Phelps County and will produce 193 million gallons of zero- or low-carbon-emission fuel annually, while also meeting American Society for Testing and Materials standards.Production is expected to begin in 2030, and the company will use cellulosic biomass, in the form of low-value agricultural by-products such as corn stover, as a carbon feedstock, along with various forms of clean hydrogen feedstock to produce near-zero carbon fuel.DG Fuels says Phelps…
