The Dodgers (-190) are a bit too expensive to bet on outright, especially in a matchup between two premier teams.
The Orioles (+160) will not be an easy opponent, and “Swervin” Cole Irvin will be excited to make his first start in his native Southern California. The Anaheim Servite High School pitcher has faced the Dodgers twice before, both times as a relief pitcher, so he will likely start this one with some leeway.

The Dodgers -1.5 (+106) have played more consistent baseball over the past month than the Orioles +1.5 (-128) and are a much better play on the run line.
Flaherty is a strikeout machine and Southern California native who has had quite a resurgence with the Dodgers this season since being acquired from the underdog Tigers at the non-waiver trade deadline. His ERA and WHIP have actually gone up a bit since arriving from Detroit, but he has much more support on the offensive side of things, so the pressure to be perfect is also greatly reduced.

Over/Under
UNDER 8.5 (-102) is a good bet because these two SoCal pitchers should trade plenty of donuts early on before the bullpen takes over.
The Dodgers' relief pitchers have a 3.57 ERA, fifth-best in the major leagues, while the Orioles have a 4.10 ERA. That margin will determine who wins the game, but it's a very small margin. With the starter gone, you can't count on a breakout.
