Packers Outlook: Offense
The Packers' offense was intriguing last year, with some late comebacks in the first few games before being inconsistent for nearly six weeks.
But coach Matt LaFleur and quarterback Jordan Love seemed to get on the same page in the second half of the season, and a solid pass-catching group performed very well. Green Bay's offense could be even better if it spends the entire offseason building on last season's success.
The four receivers — Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Dubs and Dontaevion Wicks — can create mismatches for opposing defenses, and tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft have both shown signs of being effective pass-catching tackles.
Finally, the additions of Josh Jacobs and Marshawn Lloyd give the Packers the ability to gain more yards on the ground, especially if the defense brings in extra defenders to stop the pass. LaFleur has been a good play designer for years, and with the weapons Green Bay has on the offensive end, this offense could continue to get better.

Packers Outlook: Defense
One of the biggest complaints about the Packers in recent years has been that Joe Barry made the defense too passive, resulting in a team lacking identity and allowing most of the good offensive forces that faced Green Bay to produce a lot of points.
Barry was fired in the offseason and Jeff Hafley was brought in to lead the defense, and the goal of the new defense is expected to be to apply more pressure and keep the solid cornerbacks from having to cover as long as they have in the past.
With the trio of Rashan Gary, Devonte Wyatt and Kenny Clark, the Packers have the nucleus of a potent pass rush. This defense could continue to struggle against the run, as it has for the past few seasons. To improve, Green Bay will need second-round rookie Edgarin Cooper to be more effective at stopping the run. While this defense is unlikely to be elite, the unit could move closer to league average. If that happens, the Packers would view it as a big win.
Green Bay Packers Schedule
As always, the Packers have a six-game series against their NFC North rivals. Outside of the Lions, they should be better than the rising Bears and Vikings and have a chance to add to their winning streak.
Green Bay will stay in the NFC and face the NFC West, Saints and Eagles — the Packers have favored all of those opponents aside from a matchup with the 49ers — and then move on to the AFC, where the South and Dolphins are on the schedule.
Admittedly, this interconference matchup will be tough, but again, this team should have the offensive firepower to compete on equal terms with each opponent.

In the NFL playoffs, they had a team that beat the Cowboys and came close to beating the 49ers. The Packers have gotten stronger and stronger throughout the year. The team we saw in January will be a prime example of the team we will see this year.
The expectation that the defense will improve at least a little seems reasonable. Offensively, Green Bay seems poised to make further strides. Granted, the schedule won't be easy. That said, this is a good football team that can win 12 games. 9.5 wins or more seems like a strong bet.
