After 24 years they found their father, now they have to search for him again. “We prayed over the empty tomb”
– This is a shock for us. After 24 years we found our father and it turns out that we have to look for him again, says Magda, daughter of Robert Wieczorek. The family wanted to take his body out of the Krakow cemetery and transfer it to Warsaw, but found out that the grave was empty. How is this possible?
The identity of Robert Wieczorek has been revealed after almost a quarter of a century, thanks to new information obtained by tvn24.pl. Today we know that it was his mummified body that was found on September 24, 2000 in a tent under Matragona Peak in the Bieszczady Mountains.

“I couldn't believe it”
A 37-year-old man lived with his family in Warsaw. He had a wife and two small children. On May 31, 2000, he left home and disappeared. His relatives have been waiting for almost a quarter of a century to find out what happened to him. We managed not only to confirm his identity, but also to determine that he was buried in Batowice cemetery in Krakow.
