President Andrzej Duda sent the amendments to the Sports Law to the Constitutional Court. This means that the way of its implementation becomes very complicated. Both Polish football players and the Minister of Sports and Tourism do not hide their disappointment.
“We are not less than men” – this is the voice of the Polish players, who now have the minister of sports and tourism on their side, and the president went to war with them, preventing their sporting action on Christmas Day. Eve.
– We received a gift from President Duda. I do not hide that this is a bitter gift that not only ruined the holidays for me, – explains Minister of Sports and Tourism Slavomir Nitras.

Percentage of women in Polish sports communities
The President sent the bill to the Constitutional Court, which includes former law and justice politicians. First of all, he did not like the regulations on parities in sports associations and possible penalties for their absence.
– This document establishes a certain solution, but today there are no obstacles for women in the leadership of sports associations, – Malgorzata Paprocka, the head of the president's office, notes.
In the boxing, judo, rowing and handball associations of Poland, the percentage of women – even before the elections – was equal to zero. Now only a quarter or less.
– He did not consult this act with these ladies, he did not consult with athletes, he only consulted with Mr. Piesevich about this decision, – Minister Slavomir Nitras explains.

Conflict between the ministry and the presidential palace
Andrzej Duda's decision to send the bill to the Prosecutor's Office, that is to say, to block it, is another episode of the war at the top – between the Ministry of Sports and Tourism and the Presidential Palace.
Now the Minister of Sports has taken action against President Pieszewicz, who became the head of the Polish Olympic Committee thanks to the support of Andrzej Duda. – As long as people have this kind of thinking that for them the interests of activists are higher than the interests of athletes, I don't see the possibility of cooperation, I don't see the possibility of investment, – says Slavomir Nitras.

Piesewicz nominated the president for the membership of the International Olympic Committee, thereby preventing the possible promotion of Polish athletes.
“Among 70 independent members, there can be only one member from one country,” says the member of the Athletes' Commission of the International Olympic Committee, two-time Olympic vice-champion in mountain biking Maia Vloschovska.
So it could be Andrzej Duda or Maja Wloszowska. – Or, for example, Robert Korzenowski or another athlete or activist, – adds Maia Wloszczowska.
It happens that the issue of equality in sports associations – closed by the president – is recommended by the International Olympic Committee, which the president wants to become a member of.
