A Christmas tree over 20 meters high that was supposed to be a tourist attraction has caught fire in Plaza San Sebastian in central Manaus, Brazil. The cause of the fire was a short circuit in the lighting. A number of videos appeared online showing the fire consuming Christmas trees.
The Amazon River Capital's Christmas tree was unveiled in early December. The Christmas tree was placed in the center of San Sebastian Square, next to the city's landmark Teatro Amazonas.
