Tragic accident while parachuting. A woman from Chile has died after falling from a height in Brazil. The cause of the accident was a malfunction of the 40-year-old man's equipment.
The incident occurred near the town of Boituba, near Sao Paulo, Brazil. Carolina Muñoz Kennedy from Chile jumped there with a parachute.
During her jump, an unexpected problem occurred with her equipment and her main parachute stopped working.
Accident during parachute descent
An experienced parachutist who had made hundreds of jumps tried to save the situation and used a spare parachute.
However, it wasn't fully deployed properly either. A 40-year-old woman fell from a height and hit the ground.
A rescue team was immediately dispatched to the scene. The 40-year-old woman survived the fall but was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save her and the woman died.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident. Investigators want to thoroughly analyze the paratrooper's equipment and conduct an autopsy on the 40-year-old woman's body.
