Last month, Donald Glover released his band Stone & the New World, which will likely be the final album for his rap alter-ego Childish Gambino. Glover debuted the album with a host of guests in New York and also announced a busy global arena tour that will run through February of next year. Last night, the Childish Gambino tour kicked off at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. The tour included some songs that Donald Glover has never performed before, or hasn't performed in years.
Last night's Childish Gambino show featured an elaborate light show and plenty of glittering stage costumes. It was the first time Donald Glover performed most of his band Stone & the New World in front of a large audience, and the show also featured the live debuts of Atavista's “To Be Hunted” and Kaytranada collaboration “Witchy.” Later in the show, Glover performed Camp-era songs “Do Ya Like,” “Bonfire,” and “Freaks And Geeks” for the first time in nine years, while “LES” was performed for the first time since 2013. Check out fan footage from last night below, as well as the setlist from the show on Setlist.fm.
