A family living in Florida lost their dog. The animal was successfully found nine days later and on Christmas Eve. The owners of the animal said that their New Year's wish came true.
A four-year-old dog named Athena went missing in mid-December to the Comer family, who live in Florida. The animal was away from home for about nine days.
– I was looking for him every day. Brooke Comer, the dog's owner, said: “Every time I went back without him, we were all devastated.” Neighbors are also involved in their search.
The female dog rang the doorbell
The dog was found at home on Christmas Eve. She informed the owners of the house in an unusual way because she rang the doorbell herself, which was captured on an outdoor camera.
– Around 2:30 he came home and rang the doorbell himself, – reported Komer. The woman was very happy to get the dog back. – I was very excited, I tried not to wake up the children, but they still woke up – she said. He added that their Christmas wish came true.
The family plans to microchip the dog as soon as the holidays are over.
