Cleveland Guardians betting predictions
In their last series against the Chicago Cubs, the Guardians achieved a sweep. Cleveland won all three games by scores of 9-8, 2-1 and 6-1. In Friday's opener against the Brewers, Cleveland suffered a tough 5-3 loss. Gavin Williams retired after 4.0 innings and five earned runs. Tanner Bibby will start on Saturday. Bibby is 10-4 with a 3.39 ERA in 23 starts this year. Bibby is 20-8 with a 3.17 ERA in 48 career starts.
Milwaukee Brewers Betting Predictions
Meanwhile, the Brewers played the Los Angeles Dodgers this week. Milwaukee lost the first two games, 5-2 and 7-2, but won the next two to tie the series. On Friday, the Brewers were down three runs in the eighth inning but held on to win. Starter Aaron Civale gave up four hits and one walk in six innings.
Freddy Peralta will start Saturday against Milwaukee. Peralta has a 7-7 record with a 4.11 ERA in 24 starts this year. In 170 career games (121 starts), Peralta has a 49-34 record with a 3.88 ERA.
Cleveland Guardians vs Milwaukee Brewers Predictions
I'm going with the Guardians. Bibby has been pretty good as of late. Bibby is 2-0 in his last three starts with four earned runs in 16.2 combined innings. Peralta, on the other hand, has been inconsistent in his last two starts with eight earned runs in 11.0 innings.
On Friday, the Guardians were down 5-0 after the fourth inning and couldn't get anything going except for the eighth (two home runs). Cleveland should get off to a good start Saturday with Bibby on the mound, but the offense will need to catch up.
