The 2024 college football season is finally upon us.
There are only four games scheduled for Week 0 this year, but the schedule of each game will allow college football fans to enjoy live action from noon Eastern time until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Unfortunately, most viewers won't be able to tune in to the late-night game between Delaware State and the University of Hawaii, but the first three games of the day will be widely available.
The ACC matchup between 2023 ACC champion Florida State and Georgia Tech, coming off a 7-6 season (5-3 in the ACC), is obviously the one to watch, but it won't be the only matchup between teams from the powerhouse conferences.
The SMU-Nevada matchup at 8 p.m. will mark the Mustangs' first game since moving to the ACC this offseason, and the Montana State-New Mexico matchup will be intriguing given that FCS school Montana State is favored over Mountain West rival New Mexico.

How to bet on Florida State vs Georgia Tech
The match, which is being played in Dublin, Ireland, has seen a huge reaction from the public since the odds were first released, with the odds difference widening from 13 points to 10.5 points.
As many college football fans will remember, Georgia Tech played well against the toughest opponents on its 2023 schedule, posting wins over Miami and North Carolina and solid performances in losses to Louisville and Georgia.
Florida State had to replace a lot of talent this offseason, but the Noles have restocked once again. It's unclear whether FSU starting QB DJ Uiagalelei is good enough to lead the Noles to an ACC championship heading into Week 0, but he is capable of leading his team to a win, even if it's not a very easy one, against the Dublin Jackets.
Georgia Tech looks like the stronger team to keep it close, at least in the first half, with the Jackets favored by the spread at the half, but FSU will eventually find a way to cover against a team that allowed 29.5 points per game in 2023.
The Noles' DL lost stars Jared Verss and Braden Fisk to the 2024 NFL Draft, but the D-line will remain a major strength for this team this season, and with Georgia transfer Marvin Jones Jr., Miami transfer Darrell Jackson Jr. and returning star pass rusher Patrick Payton, it will be a long day for Tech QB Haynes King and the Tech offense.

How to bet on Montana vs. New Mexico
Montana State was one of the best teams in the FCS Big Sky last year, with the Bobcats going 8-4 (6-2) and falling to FCS powerhouse North Dakota State in the second round of the 2023 FCS playoffs.
New Mexico, which hasn't won more than four games in a season since 2016, hired former BYU and Virginia head coach Bronco Mendenhall this offseason but is expected to have a tough time this year.
This is a tough game to predict, but if an FCS school is the away favorite by 13.5 points (!), there's a good reason for that, and we'll predict Montana State will win by a landslide.

We're all looking forward to the Mustangs, both in Saturday's season opener at Nevada and beyond — in fact, we're favored SMU to eclipse the win total in its first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
This team returns a lot of talent on offense, including underrated QB Preston Stone, who beat the Americans a year ago.
While a 25-point road advantage is usually tough to back, SMU has some big wins this year (Rhett Lashlee's team beat three conference opponents by 40 or more points last year) and is looking to send a message on Saturday night.

Spreads are rarely this large in college football, and when the line is heavily favoring one team like Hawaii's, the question is how motivated the favorites are to run up the score.
The Rainbow Warriors finished the 2023 season strong, winning three of their final four games, including a 27-24 win over a powerhouse Colorado State University team in Hawaii's regular season finale.
